It’s terribly easy to get caught up between school, work, life and everything in between. One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learnt over the last 6 months, is the importance of taking time off.
Literally shutting everything off and doing absolutely nothing. This is however much harder to put into practice than it is to state, in theory.
We’re way too connected, we’re way too informed. We spend every waking moment glued to our phones, to our laptops and to the little beeps and buzzers that are attached to it.
Don’t get me wrong, I quite like the hustle. I’m always connected and I’m always checking my Pebble smartwatch to see what’s next on the agenda for the day. But to contrast that. It’s so important to appreciate the lull.
Balance the crazy hectic with the incredibly boring.
And that’s a major key.
